In part 3 the Almighty Undollar it is about Europe. Author T.R. Reid shows how the standard currency for all countries in the European Union or joining it. The mechanism for all European countries to trade without tariffs or currency conversions and provides the world an alternative to the U.S. Dollar as a reserve currency. T.R. Reid argues how in addition to the political ramifications of the EU, "The United States of Europe" shows the great impact this alliance is having on the global economic market. He proves this by showing how Europe, which now has more daily users than the dollar, is fastly becoming a reserve currency and a new standard for global finance, a globally recognized replacement for the once-almighty dollar. The U.S. dollar became so weak compared to the Euro due to inflamation, which means they printed too much money causing the value of the dollar to go down, which brought on economic problems.Europe has led a generation of European coporate managers who led firms such as nokia in order to surpass U.S. competitors in the global market. The purpose of the Europe's new currency was to challenge the American doller and because of this tow of the world's five richest countries Germany and France and four of the top tweleve Germany,France, Italy, and Spain, the Euro had became the second most powerful and important currency of the world, but the Europeans wanted to leave the almighty dollar behind.
Part 4 of Welch's Waterloo is about General Electric’s Jack Welch losing in his bid to merge Honeywell when the European Union decided that it was anti-competitive. In "The United States of Europe", first of all the changes that are taking place in Europe and the fact these changes are hurting the United States in the world stage, but do they realize it at this point.
The United States is not the only superpower left on the planet of today because it shows the influence of the New Europe on the rise to the top, but more importantly it represents a larger market than the United States itself, the new European Union is changing the face of this planet in so many ways . I believe that it also shows that America can't always be the leader because there willl be someone someday who will rise to the occasion and be the new leader whether America likes it or not.
What do you think about Author T.R. Reid who spent ten years in London ( Europe) coming to Colorado, so do you think of him as a member living in a society with the same values or different one? Explain your reason.

Part 2 The Invention of Peace
In part 2 of T.R. Reid's The United States of Europe, he shares his vision of the future which shows the old age America compared to the star rise of Europe. Author T.R. Reid is fully aware that he needs to provide his audience with a humble prophesy, but with hard facts and evidence. During the post World War II, Europe had the dream of three visionary men : former british prime minister Winston Churchill, whose name resonates with each and every American, along with two other names with reputations that might not come to most people mind. There was former brandy salesman Jean Monner, while the other was the post-war french prime minister and underground fighter which was Robert Schuman. United as one these three men became the architects and builders of what is now today the European Union. The names that future childern in Europe will read and learn about in history books along with Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams. These men along with many other critical thinkers statesman had created the future Euroopean Union, the United States of Europe. While America becomes older, Europe continues to rise the top, but people do no seem to know what is happening.
Do you think Europe will become the future, while America is left in the past. If so explain your reason and why?

Part 1 of The United States of Europe
In part 1 of T.R. Reid's The United States of Europe, he shows the audience growth of the European Union (EU), Americans, he argues, seem to be in a state of denial about what Europe has achieved. They've dedicated shows to downing America, it's hilarious how Europeans portray the " white trash" America. Every European Nation seems to have its own qualities to the point in which they dislike of Americans because the British think of Americans to be fat, loud, and ignorant. United States foreign policy and particulary the foreign policy of George W. Bush, being the most unpopular American president in a century among Europeans, but because of the U.S. forein policy particulary George W. Bush is the main reason for the hatred of America in recent years because all over the continent today, there are many things about the U.S. people can't stand or even understand, or both. Americans pop culture (TV) seems to be important to Europeans, opposition to Lapharn's money and class in America because Europe puts celebrities high too, but the simple fact of the matter is Europeans like American stuff. Europeans buy U.S. products by choice because Europe as the British ruled India at one point, waged no opium war to force the revolting coke down our throats, but it was Europe who bought the whole package because they wanted it. Europeans who had visited the states found themselves charmed by American ways, so John Sutherland wrote after his trip to U.S.A, free refills of coffee ( without asking), Newspaper vendomats on street corners, "paper or plastic" what bagger says in your friendly 24-hour supermarket) ,drive through banking, high school graduations and regular class reunions, free or cut price parking at cinemas and restarants and fridges big enough for a 30 pound turkey. But it's funny how Europeans viewed patriotism especially in the U.S. as peculiar because most Europeans were born after the second world war into a somewhat extremely confusing sight of patriotism. Notice how Mr. Reid says " is the transformation of the olympic Games into yet another American Festival of Victory, " Festival of Victory" for U.S. equals olympics seen by Europeans, basically they care more about an American victory than they do about sportsmanship. America's attitude with winning was disgusting to European's, the reason why Europeans thought of America as ignorance because they seemed wonderfully courteous to strangers, yet indiscriminately shoot kids in schools, believing they are masters of the world when they know nothing of what goes on outside their shores which is proof of there ignorance. The thing that really annoyed Europeans was that this nation had perceived to be ignorant to the rest of the world, but because they had the wealth and power to dominate much of it. All of Europe felt the need to be compassionate towards Americans after 9/11 and were in it until a bit after the war began, September 11 bought us together, but only temporarily because there will always be major differences across the atlantic and will not go away. In order to express these emotions, T.R. Reid uses a few literary devices. On occassion, I notice the use of humor and change in tone, but his use of anecdotes is the main literary device used.
Do you think we have an ocean of prejudice and ignorance on both sides of the Atlantic, if so is it a real problem?
