Part 3 The Almighty Undollar & Part 4 Welch's Waterloo

In part 3 the Almighty Undollar it is about Europe. Author T.R. Reid shows how the standard currency for all countries in the European Union or joining it. The mechanism for all European countries to trade without tariffs or currency conversions and provides the world an alternative to the U.S. Dollar as a reserve currency. T.R. Reid argues how in addition to the political ramifications of the EU, "The United States of Europe" shows the great impact this alliance is having on the global economic market. He proves this by showing how Europe, which now has more daily users than the dollar, is fastly becoming a reserve currency and a new standard for global finance, a globally recognized replacement for the once-almighty dollar. The U.S. dollar became so weak compared to the Euro due to inflamation, which means they printed too much money causing the value of the dollar to go down, which brought on economic problems.Europe has led a generation of European coporate managers who led firms such as nokia in order to surpass U.S. competitors in the global market. The purpose of the Europe's new currency was to challenge the American doller and because of this tow of the world's five richest countries Germany and France and four of the top tweleve Germany,France, Italy,and Spain, the Euro had became the second most powerful and important currency of the world, but the Europeans wanted to leave the almighty dollar behind.

Part 4 of Welch's Waterloo is about General Electric’s Jack Welch losing in his bid to merge Honeywell when the European Union decided that it was anti-competitive. In "The United States of Europe", first of all the changes that are taking place in Europe and the fact these changes are hurting the United States in the world stage, but do they realize it at this point.

The United States is not the only superpower left on the planet of today because it shows the influence of the New Europe on the rise to the top, but more importantly it represents a larger market than the United States itself, the new European Union is changing the face of this planet in so many ways . I believe that it also shows that America can't always be the leader because there willl be someone someday who will rise to the occasion and be the new leader whether America likes it or not.
